“Chongqing global travel agents conference is well-done! We will bring the travel agents in Germany and Netherlands to come if the conference held annually.” Mr. Xiang Shi, director of China National Tourist Office in Frankfurt told iChongqing in Nanping, where the Chongqing Global Travel Agents Conference 2018 was held on 14^th November, 2018.

plans to invite the German media to visit Chongqing

Mr. Shi brought with a group of 11 travel agents from Germany and Netherlands to attend the conference, and select the proper tourism products of Chongqing. To make Chongqing more popular in Western Europe, Mr. Shi plans to invite the German media to visit Chongqing, especially some bloggers.

As a new municipality of China, and with unique tourism resources, Chongqing is popular among the Germany tourists. In the eyes of Mr. Shi, Chongqing has got some advantages in the Western Europe, esp. in German, comparing with other cities in China. It’s said that the China-Europe passenger train will be open in adition to the cargo trains, and direct flight from German to Chongqing will be open in 2019. Travel is more convenient.

“We believe the inbound traveler will increase, though the German tourists are top numbered in Chongqing.”Mr. Shi told iChongqing.

The overall city planning, infrastructure, and environment of Chongqing is so pleasant that Mr. Shi praised a lot during the interview. “I revisit the city after 13 years, stunning changes emerged. The night view in Nanbing road is so charming, and most of all, it is a life here, with bars and restaurant here and there along the coast. I really enjoy it. “
