Chongqing- Recently in Fengjie County, the 4th White Emperor City International Poetry Festival and Green Development • Consumption-Based Poverty Alleviation Conference was held between December 14th to 16th. During the festival, iChongqing went to Fengjie county and into the navel orange orchard with Mr. Yang Minghua, the owner of Fengjie Linyou Orange Cooperative. In this video, we interviewed Mr. Yang to talk about his life changes with booming sales of Fengjie oranges.

Mr. Yang said that in 2015, Taobao (Alibaba) went into the villages to set up an e-commerce network with local farmers, it has great impacts on his orange orchard, which help him and his cooperative members to highly improved their orange sales to the whole country. His income has been increased from ￥10,000 per year to about ￥60,000, and he bought the apartment in downtown Fengjie.

Infrastructure construction allows delivery vehicles to collect oranges at the door of each villager’s house, villagers' life has been changed by the juicy navel orange sales.
