On December 25 and at the Ninth Sub-village, Hucheng Community, Hexing Town, Liangping District, a truck loaded with over ten tons of Liangping pomelos destined for Russia was running on the road. As planned, after around 18 days, these pomelos will appear in the market of Russia. And it is the first time for Chongqing to export pomelos to Europe.
On December 25 and at the Ninth Sub-village, Hucheng Community, Hexing Town, Liangping District, a truck loaded with over ten tons of Liangping pomelos exported to Russia, is running on the road.
In recent years, Liangping has been developing pomelo planting as a characteristic industry for increasing farmers’ income, poverty alleviation, and rural revitalization. It encourages villagers to conduct green farming so that the quantity and quality of the pomelos can be both improved.

Currently, in Liangping District, there are 100 km2 of planting areas, over 8 million of pomelo trees, the yearly yield of 90 thousand tons, and nearly RMB 1 billion of production value. The pomelo industry has driven the efficiency of agriculture and increased the incomes of peasants in the local regions.
