Located in Farm Community, Gu’nan Street, Qijiang District, Chongqing, the Qijiang Museum is a comprehensive museum to explore the culture of the Qijiang River Basin. It's also the only museum in China to showcase the culture of the Liao People.

The museum is a joint office of China Liao Culture Research Center. It has a building area of more than 3,500 square meters, with its exhibition hall covering more than 2,100 square meters. 

There are four permanent exhibition halls, including Preface Hall, Geology Hall, Historic Culture Hall, and Stone Carvings Hall.

The Preface hall is composed of the tourist reception service center and the sand table diagram of ancient Qijiang in the Qing Dynasty, which allows tourists to understand the layout of Qijiang in the Qing Dynasty intuitively.

The Geology Hall mainly displays Qijiang’s 150 million-year-old wood fossil group during the Jurassic period, and rare dinosaur footprint group and Danxia landform in China. The Hall are divided into the knowledge section, wood fossil section, dinosaur footprint fossil section, dinosaur creative scenic spot section, and geological mineral section.

The Historical Culture Hall mainly displays the local history and culture of Qijiang, including its time-honored history, mysteries, red culture, local deceased respectable persons, splendid culture, and great virtue.

The Stone Carvings Hall displays the exquisite stone-carving statues of Eighteen Arhats, Trikaya Buddha, Avalokitesvara, Gautama Buddha, and Manjushri, which are in line with the Dazu Rock Carvings.
