Themed on Boosting Mass Entrepreneurship and Innovation (E&I) to Strengthen New Growth Impetus, 2019 National Mass Innovation and Entrepreneurship Week (NMIEW) kicked off its Chongqing leg in Chongqing Internet Institute on June 13. Liangjiang New Area, Yongchuan District, and Chongqing Zhubajie Network Co., Ltd. have been approved as national demonstration bases for mass E&I. The environment for mass E&I is improving in the city.

Notably, Liangjiang New Area was approved as one of the first batches of national demonstration bases for mass E&I in May 2016. As of now, there have been 37 incubators above the municipal level, including eight ones at the national level in the Area. Among them, there are two national incubators and six maker spaces, accounting for 17% and 14% of those of the city respectively.

Meanwhile, Yongchuan District was also approved as the national demonstration base for mass E&I. With its unique mode of “S&T + vocational education + finance,” the demonstration base has brought in 128 high-level technological talented professionals including academicians, Changjiang scholars, and well-known experts. It has also cultivated 84 R&D institutions above the municipal level, 91 high-tech enterprises, and 340 S&T enterprises.

Moreover, the “Liangjiang New Area Unicorn Acceleration Base” created by Dark Horse Venture (Beijing) Technology Co., Ltd. has been put into operation in Chongqing Internet Institute.
