The Belt and Road International Skills Competition (BRISC), themed on Skill Cooperation and Common Development held at Chongqing International Expo Center from 26 to 31 in May.

The Belt and Road International Skills Competition kicked off on May 27 night, and this is a general guide for the competition

There are 698 registered competitors in the 179 sub-projects under the 18 major competition items. They come from countries and regions of the six continents around the world, namely 24 countries, and regions in Asia, 15 in Europe, 2 in Africa, and 1 in Oceania, South America, and North America respectively.

The 18 competing items cover Electronics, Water Technology, Automobile Technology, Freight Forwarding, Bricklaying, Electrical Installations, Joinery, Painting and Decorating, Plumbing and Heating, Information Network Cabling, Fashion Technology, Floristry, Bakery, Beauty Therapy, Cooking (western cuisine), Hairdressing, Health and Social Care, and Restaurant Service.

There are 18 competition items covers different industries

In addition to the intense skill competition during May 28 and 29, the Second “Bayu Craftsmen” Skillful Exhibition Project will be held on that site. Then, visitors can experience the extraordinary cooking skills of the chefs in making the hot pot and Chongqing Noodles and enjoy the delicacies for free at the “Bayu Craftsmen” exhibition area of Hall S2 of Chongqing International Expo Center.

Besides, the hot pot cooking site will also be placed at the hot pot & hot pot technique experience area, where citizens can cook and enjoy the delicacy. At the Chongqing Noodles & Chongqing Noodles technique experience area, visitors will watch the traditional cooking methods of this snack, including how to make oil chili and ingredients. The recipe of Chongqing Noodles will open to the public for the first time.
