Recently, Jiangbeizui International Financial Center (tentative) welcomed its overall plan. The 470-meter-tall main building, after completion, will become the tallest building in Chongqing, as well as a new landmark.

Established by Southwest Regional Group of Sunac China in 2017, the project covers a total area of 29,100 square meters, with a building area of about 550,000 square meters. It consists of a 103-story main building and other three super high-rise buildings.

Chongqing has included the center into one of the major municipal projects in 2019, aiming to begin constructing the main part this year. The relevant principle of the designer introduces there will be a 360-degree viewing platform on the top according to the overall plan. A 24-hour public space established at the bottom, integrating into the surroundings, can not only improve the city image but also offer citizens more urban leisure.

Chongqing, as of the end of 2017, has had 41 super high-rise buildings completed or topped out, all of which are 200 meters tall and above. The city, with a number of high-rise buildings, ranks fourth in mainland China, following Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen. The 356-meter-tall Chongqing Raffles City T3N, with the completion of the topping-out ceremony, has become the tallest building under construction in Chongqing.

After the completion of the center’s main part, Chongqing will have a taller building. At that time, the view platform on the top of the center will offer the best perspective to overlook Chongqing’s main urban areas and “Two Rivers and Four Riversides”.
