Nowadays, Japan, the USA, Germany, and France are the only four countries worldwide that can make artificial hearts. China, however, will join them soon. On November 23, Chongqing EVAHEART Medical Device Co., Ltd. indicated that the artificial heart will be ready to sale. The company referred to as Chongqing EVAHEART, located in Liangjiang New Area. In the meantime, the heart will be ready by early next year at the latest.

The "made in Chongqing" artificial heart will be ready to register and for sale by early next year at the latest.

The manufacturing technology of artificial hearts is still an open ocean in China. Until November 19, 12 subjects successfully ended the implantation at study sites of Fuwai Hospital and Wuhan Union Hospital. Moreover, the patients are recovering well, with significantly improved cardiac function and living quality. The “Global Conference on Artificial Organs” kicked off in Tokyo in November. Experts, such as Professor Hu Shengshou (Academician Chinese Society of Engineering), recognized the clinical trial result of Chongqing EVAHEART. Furthermore, they regarded it as “the best clinical performance in the world”.

It's worth mentioning that the artificial heart of Chongqing EVAHEART is only 70% of the cost as the ones abroad and with a function of pulse movement, which can be better functioned as the natural heart. It will be a great choice for 100 million patients with heart failure in China.
