As the final stop of Chongqing Rail Transit Line 4, Shichuan station extends almost to the easternmost part of the Yubei District. Its platform locates at the gateway of Chongqiao Village.

Since the station opened on June 18, the township of Shichuan has changed a lot.

The train has improved the lives of residents. iChongqing interviewed a couple; Wu, a skilled technical worker, found a job in the company maintaining equipment. And his wife, Chen, got a job as an office operator in the workshop.

After years of drifting around outside, the couple finally achieved a work-life balance, with their lives and works fulfilled.

The train drove into the village, representing Chongqing's rail transit development. The coming and going of the train not only reflects the rail networks integration concept proposed by Chongqing ahead of the whole country but also shows Chongqing's determination to build a one-hour commuting circle.

Chongqing is looking forward to making travel more convenient for citizens and improving their quality of life.
