Chongqing- The 2021 Chongqing Talents Conference ended successfully at Yuelai International Conference Center on November 21st witnessed an introduction of 3,319 talents in urgent need and 407 projects.

This year's conference has three " firsts " as an international, market-oriented, and effective exchange and cooperation platform integrating talent exchange, project cooperation, and talent matchmaking.

This conference was jointly organized by the Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, the CPC Chongqing Municipal Committee, and the Chongqing Municipal People's Government. This is the first time that the Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau has jointly organized a comprehensive talent conference with the local government.

Overseas branch venues in Russia and UK

Overseas branch venues were opened in Russia and the United Kingdom (UK) for the first time. The conference invited local government officials, experts, scholars, entrepreneurs, high-level talents, etc., to discuss the promotion of the city's open cooperation, which further enhanced the internationalization and influence of the conference.

"This event held in the UK serves as a vivid example of Chongqing's openness and inclusive cooperation," said Jiang Sunan, the Minister Counsellor for Science and Technology of the Chinese Embassy in the UK. "Chongqing actively promotes the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle, establishes a new paradigm for high-quality development and life as its guidance, and accelerates the construction of the city into an international, green, intelligent, and culturally modern city."

"Through innovative measures, refined services, the introduction and attraction of talents, this will make Chongqing a place where outstanding talents at home and abroad yearn for, "said Jiang. He appreciated Chongqing's rapid development and its innovative and entrepreneurial environment.

Chongqing Talent Honor Card

Meanwhile, the Chongqing Talent Honor Card was first awarded to the five academicians, including Xue Qikun and Huang Wei, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and He Jishan, Lei Qingquan, and Chen Jing, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.

"It is hoped that through the issuance of the Chongqing Talent Honor Card, the influence of Chongqing Talent services will be further expanded, and the talent ecology will be actively created so that the sign of Chongqing Talent will become shining," said the relevant person in charge of the Chongqing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau.

Zheng Yi, the representative of talent introduction at the 2019 Chongqing Talents Conference, said that she took root in Chongqing because of its good environment of talent development, which fully demonstrates Chongqing's inclusive and open attitude welcoming talents from different places.

"I would like to invite more people to come to Chongqing and start their businesses here because this is a place worth entrusting," said Zheng.
