Chongqing- Over 60 representatives from companies and universities, including Trabble, the Singapore-based Travel & Hospitality tech startup, were involved in the China Smart City Data Open Innovation Application Competition & China College Data-Driven Innovation Competition, which was held at Xiantao International Big Data Valley in Chongqing on October 22.

Digital transformation in hospitality

Trabble serves as a guest engagement SaaS platform that empowers travel and hospitality businesses in adapting to return to post-Covid tourism.

By integrating the technologies of bot capabilities, customer service support, self-check-in solutions, and online travel agency cooperation from internationally renowned companies such as Huawei Cloud, Marriott, Samsung, Tripadvisor, etc., Trabble provides comprehensive and mature services, from pre-travel consultation and reservation and guided tour during the trip, to post-travel feedback and repeat business after the trip.

"I think China has done an excellent job of preventing Covid-19, and its domestic tourism is growing against the background of the sluggish global tourism," said Low.

According to Low, Trabble has expanded the whole functions and features of its system solutions in 2020 to reduce the negative impact of the epidemic. The company never stops finding the way to upgrade the brand positioning of its products and develop the digital transformation of their businesses that are necessary for the post-epidemic era.

Contributing to local smart tourism

"I hope Trabble will make some contribution in the process of building Chongqing as a smart tourism city," said Low.

Based on the meteorological data of Chongqing provided by the competition organizers, Trabble has developed a more accurate and better-customized service in conjunction with the city's tourism resources and visitor groups.

"We believe that using the weather data provided by Chongqing will enable Trabble to provide better services to Chinese tourists," said Low. "Chongqing has a close relationship with Singapore, and we believe that participating in the competition will bring more opportunities for cooperation between the two sides."

He continued, China is currently in a period of rapid development in applying open data innovation, and cities like Chongqing, Suzhou, Guangzhou, and Xiamen are developing rapidly in building a smart city.

Low believes that, in the future, the practical usage of big data among those cities will bring more convenience to human beings through reducing labor, increasing efficiency, enhancing the quality of people's work, life and entertainment to a higher level.
