Chongqing is making a big push to seek out business opportunities overseas for local smart public bus integrated products and services, according to the Chongqing Municipal Transportation Bureau.
So far, Chongqing Transportation Development & Investment Technology Co., Ltd. (D&I Technology) has established partnerships with six public bus companies in Yangon Region, Myanmar, and completed intelligent IC card system construction, terminal installation, operation management, and credit card payment for more than 2,000 buses and 53 bus lines.
In 2017, Yangon Region's largest state-owned public bus company visited Chongqing and showed a strong interest in Chongqing's smart public bus integrated products and management.
Since then, Chongqing has carried out a series of smart public bus cooperation projects with Yangon Region, helping local public bus systems achieve smart management for the first time.
According to a relevant head from D&I Technology, Chongqing's smart public bus system will achieve full coverage at Yangon Region's public bus field by 2021.

Moreover, the company will also help install onboard terminals and connect them to a public transportation monitoring and management platform for 2,000 buses newly added in the locality.
Next, the company will help the region build a freight car networking platform to serve Myanmar's nationwide intelligent freight logistics management.
