According to the Chongqing Health Commission on August 27, Chongqing will comprehensively build a basic system of smart medical care by 2022. Besides, it will create a demonstration city of smart medical application and an intelligent medical-industrial base leading in China.

In terms of the basic support system for smart medical care, Chongqing has formed a data resource system and a primary support platform for the development of smart medical care. So far, the municipal public health information platform has integrated more than 33 million electronic health records and 20 million electronic medical records. Chongqing has also established a monitoring platform for its medical reform and gained full access to the Hospital Information System (HIS) data of 226 public hospitals, ranking among the top in terms of magnitude and standardization of data aggregation.

The demonstration construction of smart hospitals has been carried out among public hospitals above the second level in the city, with the total number reaching 25 now. Focusing on "internet +" medical health application, the portal of Chongqing 12320 Health Information Service Platform was built to promote a unified reservation registration system for diagnosis and treatment reservations, thus realizing reservation in different time periods, diagnosis and treatment settlement, and other functions. The city has also realized the application of telemedicine services in 90% districts and counties and the unified arrangements for smart emergency medical resources in the downtown area. In addition, the family doctor contract service system has covered all districts and counties, and a personal health information inquiry system has been preliminarily established to make the inquiry service of personal electronic health records and medical records available.

Mei Zhengcheng from the Chongqing Health Commission introduced that by 2021, Chongqing will basically complete the establishment of the "health cloud" and a big data service platform for public health, complete the construction of a key business information system, promote and apply intelligent health management, and preliminarily form the smart medical industry system.

By 2022, the basic system of smart medical care will be fully established, big data of health care will be comprehensively pooled and standardized, the system of health information resources and the sharing and opening mechanism will be established, and a demonstration city of smart medical application and an intelligent medical-industrial base leading in China will be erected.
