On the afternoon of August 6, Shapingba District and Greenland Holdings Group signed an agreement to build the Chongqing Global Trading Port project jointly. The project totaling 12 billion yuan is located in Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park, covering 518,000 square meters, with a construction area of about 820,000 square meters.

Relying on the opportunity of building an inland international logistics hub in Chongqing, the project focuses on developing the regional headquarters of Greenland Global Trade Port, the Western Comprehensive Health Center, and the Western Science and Technology Innovation Center. The cooperation between the two sides covers the national and regional pavilions for imported goods, bonded exhibition and sales areas, direct selling center, experience center, health management center, health biotechnology R&D, smart health Internet of Things technology center, big data center, artificial intelligence R&D, brand hotel services and so on.
Luo Shuquan, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Chongqing International Logistics Hub Park, said at the first phase of the project, a variety of commodities from 25 countries worldwide will be introduced. Here, multiple products will be launched into the market simultaneously and with the same prices as the global market.
The project will help Chongqing build a large-scale and comprehensive platform for the display and trading of imported goods in Southwest China, and create a vital global center for the launch and distribution of new products in Southwest China. After completion, the project will help Chongqing significantly enhance its position in international logistics trade and play a leading role in the joint construction of the Belt and Road. Its annual output value is estimated to reach 5 billion yuan, the tax revenue will be 100 million yuan, and 4,000 jobs will be created.
