On July 7, the development and reform commission of Sichuan's Suining City, and the housing urban-rural construction commissions of Chongqing's Tongnan District and Tongliang District jointly signed the Memorandum of Cooperation on the Construction of Tongnan-Tongliang-Suining Section of Rail Transit in Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle (the extended section of Bishan-Tongliang urban express line). It marked that this project has entered the substantive cooperation stage.

Chengdu-Chongqing East-West Rail Express Line
By extending the Bishan-Tongliang line (city express line) to Tongnan and Suining, it will connect essential node regions such as Chongqing's Bishan, Tongliang, and Tongnan and Sichuan's Suining (about 7 million people will be covered). It will take the lead in pushing forward rail transit in cities along the route and accelerate the flow of people, logistics, information, and capital in the central part of the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle. The plan is to connect the line with the projected Chengdu-Suining line, thus forming the east-west rail express line in Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle and realizing the integration of rail transit between Chengdu and Chongqing, according to the official website of Chongqing Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on July 16.
Stations along the Line
Along the Bishan-Tongliang line, the Bishan section has Bishan Station, Daishan Station, Hebian Station, Qinglonghu Station, and Dalu Station; the Tongliang section has Pulv Station, Tongliang Xincheng Station, and Tongliang Station.
