To transform Wanzhou into the tourist hub and destination in the greater Three Gorges area, Chongqing Transit Co., Ltd. input 20 million yuan in the building of a new cruise named “CQ Transit Pinghu.” It aims to promote and enrich the traveling concept of “Departure from Wanzhou for a cruise along the Three Gorges.”

The new cruise

The tour along the Three Gorges starts from Wanzhou. The cruise, after over a year of building, was delivered by Fuling Zhongjiang Shipyard on July 9.

The restaurant

The testing and commissioning are being carried out. The liner is expected to arrive in Wanzhou in mid-July and officially put into operation in late July.

The cruise will serve for the “Wanzhou Pinghu Sightseeing Tour” during the early stage of operation, with concessionary fares. If approved, its route will be extended to the countryside in Dazhou and Yunyang (a one-day trip).

The dining room

The cruise has a length of 60 meters, a width of 13.9 meters, three decks, the main engine power of 764 kilowatts, a displacement of 2,000 tons, a capacity of 500 people, and a total investment of 20 million yuan. There are 13 private rooms for banquets, catering, performances, exhibitions, and sales. It is built for sightseeing and also a good place for “holding conferences, having fun, dining, and enjoying the leisurely life.”

Tourists on the cruise may brew some tea while enjoying the dazzling gleam, the storm clouds, or the gushing torrents in the Three Gorges from the private balcony!
