Chongqing - After visiting the gorgeous natural landscape in Fengjie County of Chongqing, Lee and Oli who runs the popular YouTube Channel called Barrett spent another 4 days in Dazu District, where they explored the charming Chinese culture and history.  

iChongqing conducted an interview with Barrett while they were in Dazu to share their wonderful experience in the district.

No one can leave Dazu District without visiting the UNESCO World Heritage Site – Dazu Rock Carvings. Baoding Grotto is Barrett’s first stop at the Dazu District where they learned a lot about Buddhism. “ We were able to see the very famous sculpture – Thousand Hands Buddha. It’s insanely beautiful.” Oli said. “We went to the Beishan Rock Carvings. Lots of caves and grottos in the rocks.  It blows my mind that it’s there for 11 hundred years already.” Lee added.

While visiting the Xiangguo Park of Dazu District, Barrett spontaneously joined in the Fish Lantern Dance, which won the applause from the local crowd. “It’s like once in a lifetime experience. It’s very cool.” Said Oli.

“We went a really interesting lunch in Dazu.” Said Lee. Barrett went lunch at a restaurant  surrounded by water full of lotus and tried the lotus feast. “We literally had every part of lotus including lotus root, leaf and petals.” Oli said. “ We will get a video come out especially about that because it’s so special” Lee said.

Barrett also explored Longshui Lake Resort where they did go karting, jungle adventure, bow and arrow. “You can easily spend a couple of days here and have lots of fun activities to do around.” Said Oli.

The two YouTubers are father and son and have been vlogging all the way while touring around Dazu and will release later on their YouTube Channel. The “Barrett” YouTube Channel has 123,000  followers and a total view count of over 9 million. Their videos depict their everyday life in China.
