As a top event in automatic driving, i-VISTA fully utilizes the specific geography and climate, and complex transportation of Chongqing to boost the practical application, commercialization, and industrialization of automated driving.
It consists of the Driver Assistance System Challenge, Urban Transportation Scene Challenge, Automatic Driving Commercialization Challenge, and Automatic Driving Innovation Application Challenge, aiming to test vehicles’ abilities of environment recognition, decision making, and analysis, control and implementation, etc.
Over 30 teams have registered, and the number of organizations from auto-related enterprises, more than ten, is the largest in China’s automatic driving competitions. The total bonus will be over RMB 7.5 million, which tops in similar events held in China.
Besides, i-VISTA has stepped further in innovation by inviting everyday consumers to participate in the Driver Assistance System Challenge, and the Organizing Committee has already determined the list with over 50 participants of this type. It is also worth noticing that the Automatic Driving Commercialization Challenge will be held at real expressway scene on Chongqing G85, the first try in this field.
