Around 11:15 on May 29, the Bricklaying competition project of the Belt and Road International Skills Competition (BRISC) was ongoing on the outdoor site between Hall S1 and Hall S3 in Chongqing International Expo Center. As there was only one hour left before the end, the site was steeped in tension.
At this moment, nearly all the works had taken shape, and the competitors only needed to cut and carve the details meticulously. However, they should pay more attention as victory might be in sight.

The judgment was reviewing works of contestants
The French contestant Jeremy·Fournier was different from others ever since the beginning of this project. While other people were busy in laying bricks to build walls, he joined the outline of the whole wall brick by brick on the table and only left the space for designed patterns.
Though left behind by others at that time, Jeremy had managed to surpass his competitors in the masonry pattern process. Surprisingly, he finished the bricklaying of the whole wall body before the last hour.
Moreover, while cutting and carving the details, Jeremy was more than patient. He worked slowly and carefully in due order, filled all the gaps of the whole wall, and corrected the angular deviation.
Though pressed for time, most competitors showed considerable patience like him and handled the last adjustment process well. “At that time, what matters most is not seeking for high speed but staying calm.” After the competition, Jeremy expressed that this competition event was not so challenging, but he still felt tense due to the time limit. He failed to perform well on that day with more time spent on the work than usual.

During this competition, Korean contestant, Park Seok-woo, drew a lot of attention. In his early 20s, Park Seok-woo, wearing a pair of glasses, looked handsome and gentle.
The visitors might have never expected that behind his charming look, Park Seok-woo showed skillful techniques in bricklaying. He didn’t mind the eyes of others but kept on his knees working. In the last hour, he slowed down to deal with the details. Thus most visitors considered him “too dedicated”, “fighting so hard”, and even showed care for him.
