Unlike in many other countries, the shopping malls in China will be open during the holidays. Of course, the New Year is no exception.
In fact, the New Year is a good occasion to experience the lively vibe of Chongqing in shopping malls. There you can see the typical Chinese-style festival decorations and celebrations. The opening hours of shopping malls are usually from 10 A.M. to 10 P.M. However, it may be slightly changed during the holidays. The shopping malls in Chongqing are open at weekends.

On December 31, from 7 P.M. the Chongqing Rail Transit (CRT) will close the following stations:
Line 1: Xiaoshizi, Jiaochangkou, Qixinggang, Lianglukou, Xiaolongkan, and Shapingba
Line 2: Jiaochangkou, and Linjiangmen
Line 3: Lianglukou, Huaxinjie, Guanyinqiao, and Hongqihegou
Line 6: Xiaoshizi, Grand Theater, Hongqihegou, and Shangxinjie
