On November. 23, a big Thanksgiving Dinner was held in Chongqing InterContinental Hotel. It has been the 13th year that the dinner was given. And the occasion has become one of the biggest expat gatherings in Chongqing each year.

Miss Faith, an American teaching in Chongqing, is the permanent host of the Thanksgiving Dinner. "I started to hold the Thanksgiving Dinner with my good friend 13 years ago. It was not easy, there were so much to prepare. My friend helped me a lot, then she left China back home. I decided to keep doing this. It is such a satisfaction for me to see people have a great time and feel thankful during the dinner." Said Miss Faith.

More than 150 expats attended the dinner this year. There were families and individuals who participated for many years, students who just came for the first time, travelers who happened to get to know the dinner and droped by, etc. New and old, they gathered together, to enjoy the warm and thankful moment.

Turkeys transported from the States were well prepared, along with delicious and abundant food and wine. Laughers were in the air, no one is lonely even though most of them were far away from home and families. Everybody got at least one reason to be thankful for - the wonderful night.
