In this episode, I go from hotSPRINGS to hotPOT and make a visit to the Chongqing hotpot festival!  It wasn’t exactly what I expected; sort of an “expo fair” of all things hotpot-business related, but still fun nonetheless.  Along with the obligatory “showgirls” and people banging drums and gongs to hawk their wares, there were plenty of people visiting to join in the fun, and this definitely goes to show that hotpot is part of the core culture here in Chongqing, and part of the locals’ identity.
